same. if i was gonna pay that for another gun id get a rail and put stuff into it. i love the rails.

idk i just really like the rail. its a smooth, kinda quiet gun. and i heard if u buy it from proto it has a really good warenty with it. the only bad feature is the detents they can slow the bolt down. so if you get a proto i would put spring loaded detents in it asap. and fore all you people that think the proto SLG is better it isnt. its like 1/10 of a ounce lighter. and it uses a different thread on the reg so if u dont like the reg you are just stuck. but the rail has regular threads.

the PM8 is a much better gun than the rail. they work on similar, if not the exact same internals. the rail was dye/proto's response to the ion, also the rail is made using plastic and rubber to keep the weight down. the PM8 will give you a much more solid feel but it will still be light.
